This course will take an introductory look at the specialism of leather conservation, exploring the key ethical, technical and scientific underpinnings required to successfully and appropriately conserve leather and skin materials of all types.
If you are hoping to work towards becoming a conservator, working in a related field, looking to gain a deeper understanding of the leather conservation specialism or are an early-stage conservator with an interest in specialising in leather, this course will offer a solid and comprehensive introduction to the discipline.
Prior experience of conservation is not needed for this course. The course will consist of a combination of lectures and practical exercises.
